West Meon Chamber Music Festival announces 2012 dates

The second West Meon Chamber Music Festival will run from Friday 14 September to Sunday 16 September 2012 with a total of six concerts held in the beautiful setting of  St John the Evangelist’s Church and nearby venues in the village. 

As well as offering chamber music by great French and Viennese composers, the festival programme includes a light-hearted family concert and late night jazz, and will also be raising funds for Help the Heroes.

This year’s festival, founded in 2011 by the Primrose Piano Quartet, will also be featuring several works by Debussy whose 150th birthday falls on 22 August.

"We were delighted by the enthusiasm that greeted our first festival in June last year,” says the quartet’s ‘cellist, Andrew Fuller, "and the acoustic in the church is ideal for chamber music, so we are much looking forward to a return visit.”
