Skip a Generation
13/02/2012
This initiative will bring local communities together to help fund the building of a residential school in Tanzania so by linking up and joining forces together we can help children have an education in Africa.
This competition is open to pupils from under Seven to Seventeen years. Participants will need to carefully select their subject which will be the oldest person they know and create an image of their elder in any form, painting, sketch, sculpture etc.
Dora Rafferty, a representative at Moorlands Lodge explained the thought that went behind this project "We see generation upon generation walk through our doors on a daily basis, we all know that together we can make a difference and that is what this project is really about, communities and generations all getting together to make a positive difference to the lives of others.”
Their will be three lucky winners and array of prices sponsored by local companies, as well as this the winning artwork will be displayed in the unveiling ceremony by a specialist Judge at the grand opening of Moorlands lodge in March 2012.
If your school is not yet involved then please get in touch with Moorlands Lodge by email to marketing.moorlandslodge@signaturesl.co.uk and they will send you a project pack to get you started, alternatively please call Dora on 0845 680 8648.
