New Ensemble to Boost Rosemary Funds
31/08/2011

Eight singers from Cambridge and Petersfield are to join forces to support a local charity for the terminally ill.
The newly-formed Rosemary Consort, led by Cambridge music graduate Louisa Denby, will be performing 'English Choral Music Through the Ages', a varied selection of English music from the late sixteenth century to the present, and will be raising funds for the Rosemary Foundation, a Petersfield-based charity which provides nursing care at home for patients suffering from cancer and other life-threatening conditions.
Louisa said, "We're delighted to be supporting such a worthy charity which provides an essential service for people at home. The choir is made up of very experienced singers and the quality of the music will be superb. Singing just one-to-a-part allows for greater clarity of this beautiful music, and makes full use of the fantastic resonance of the church."
The concert will be held in St Laurence's Church, Station Road, Petersfield at 7:30pm on Saturday, 17th September, followed by refreshments in the church hall. Admission will be free, and there will be a retiring collection for the Rosemary Foundation.
