As part of their Olympic week year 3 pupils at Churcher’s College Junior School performed a play called "It’s All Greek to Me”. As the name suggests it is a celebration of the Olympics past and present. With the help of a teacher from ancient Greece, 21st century pupils discover ancient myths, legends and fables, take part in the original Olympic games and perform Aesop’s The Hare and the Tortoise. Pheidippedes also puts in an appearance running the very first marathon.
Mrs Moore (year 3 teacher) said " The children have all worked extremely hard and produced a wonderful performance which I hope they will remember for a very long time. I am very proud of them all.”
All in all a whirl- wind of a play and a fitting end to a fabulous " Olympic” week at CCJS which featured, amongst other things, a Greek lunch and a workshop from the local "OpenBox” theatre company
