Year 9 students from The Royal School recently headed to France for four days of cultural, historical and French language experience. The girls were based in Houdain and enjoyed a full and varied schedule.

The Haslemere Museum was recently honoured by a visit from HRH The Countess of Wessex to commemorate the museum’s 125th Anniversary this year.

Haslemere Educational Museum was transformed into a Greek taverna, when 60 lucky guests were treated to an entertaining talk by acclaimed film director Phyllida Lloyd CBE about her box office hit Mamma Mia! The fun evening also included Greek food and drink, and a sing-along screening of the film which raised more than £2,000 for the museum.

Three artists will each donate an original piece of work to be raffled during the Surrey Artist Open Studios event this month. Alison Orchard, Nicky Chubb & Elena Gomez are exhibiting together at The Drawing Room, 1st Hindhead Scout Hut, Beacon Hill, for three weekends in June, where the paintings will be on display and raffle tickets available to purchase for £2 each. All funds raised will be donated to the Kicking Cancer project, raising funds for Prostate Cancer and Grace.
