The inaugural Life In Petersfield Business and Community Awards 2008, sponsored by East Hampshire District Council, went down a storm and raised the roof at the Festival Hall in April. The sell-out evening brought together many sectors of the Petersfield community: business, charity, the arts, sport, innovators, and local government.
Guests and sponsors told the organizers that this was "the best Petersfield event we have attended for a long time”. They said that the awards paid tribute to many important people and organizations in the community.
